Power or Promise: Do Online Health Campaigns Impact Offline Behavior?

I am looking forward to speaking on the Power or Promise panel this Thursday in Washington DC at the Carnegie Institution for Science.  Registration is still open and its free!  The presentation is sponsored by the American Institute for Research and will discuss the use of digital and social communications to encourage healthy lifestyles and influence positive health behaviors.

AIRlogoThe panel will be lead by AIR Senior Vice President Cheryl Vince and Principle Research Dr. Galen Cole.  I will be speaking with Roy Daiany, Public Sector Account Executive, Google,  Bradford Hesse, Chief, Health Communication and Informatics Research Branch, National Cancer Institute and Kevin O’Connor, President, User Insight. Julia Galdo, Managing Director of Health Communication and Social Marketing, AIR will be the panel moderator.

I will be talking about our experience helping the CDC DCPC develop a social media playbook and will also cover our work on two specific social campaigns, Know:BRCA and The Burning Truth.
